ADVOCATES & Sr. Advocates

For post-law school advocates (COE Advocates and Sr. Advocates), we provide opportunities to EMPOWER COE Scholars through mentorship; be EMPOWERED by the community of advocates of varying experience levels and backgrounds from all over the nation; and EDUCATE themselves via access to various resources (webinars, trainings, job postings, scholarship opportunities, networking access and events, and more)* to ENHANCE their litigation practice.

These advocates will have an opportunity to apply for leadership roles with COE, contribute to the COE magazine, and participate in COE programming.

MEMBERSHIP FEE: $250 / MY

10% of every Advocate and Sr. Advocate’s membership fee will be designated to Scholar and Jr. Advocate Scholarships.

* CLE credit may be available.

jR. aDVOCATES & SCHOLARS

We provide our COE Jr. Advocates (attorneys of color with 0 to 7 years or less post-law school legal experience) and Scholars (law and L.L.M. students of color), with top notch trial advocacy skills training while EDUCATING them to maximize and be EMPOWERED by their racial and cultural diversity; a safe space to learn and grow; and a network of mentors that will support them as they take steps into the legal community.

Through its network of COE Advocates and Sr. Advocates, COE provides Scholars with not only mentorship but also job and scholarship opportunities. COE propels future attorneys to success by ENHANCING their advocacy skills and giving them the confidence to utilize those skills with excellence.

Organization scholarships and Leadership Sponsorships are available upon application for accepted members. Information to be provided in January of the membership year.
